The day before. (Taken with instagram)
Absolutely precious.
I prayed for God to change my heart in 2011.
He did one better, He gave me a new one. It’s a clean slate, it’s brand new, and I am free. :)
A day into 2012, and all I remember of 2011 is Uncle Tony’s short sermon at our annual family Christmas gathering - Isaiah 9:6
Above every storm that is to come this year, every test that the Lord is going to put me through, I will take courage and walk on His word towards Him, just as Peter did.
He has spoken to my inner storm, and it is done. :)
AND HE WILL BE CALLED… (Isaiah 9:6) on Flickr.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” - Isaiah 9:6

In tonight’s discussion on pulpit direction, some key words mentioned and used literally lit up the embers in my heart - transformation, engage, challenge, care, mentor, coach, inspire, ignite, destiny, passion, discipleship, Christ-likeness.
And I wonder, where are these words in my mind and heart on a day-to-day basis?
There’s so much energy, so much to drive us as a church, a ministry, a leadership if only we would use these words more often.
Lastly, all we need to do now is to walk the talk. Translate passion into action and with His strength and blessings, we WILL change the world a person at a time.
Today, I feel like there is greater clarity in vision. I remember why I am doing this, why I serve, why I lead.
Collectively, transformation to become Christ-like is all there is to it. If I become more and more Christ-like day by day, then I am moving in the right direction. If my days pass by, filled with activity and words that do not transform my heart nor mind, then I have neither moved nor grown.
The reality is I have allowed that for one day too many.
Engage me, challenge my spirit. Sometimes I just lose sight of the vision and the dream that God has already revealed in my heart.
I wanna get excited for camp this weekend. I believe lives will be changed, and God is already moving. :)
wow, i just really like this for no particular reason.
It feels like the artist was moving the paint around with no end goal in mind and all of a sudden went - CAT YOU SHALL BE.
Sometimes, to gain clarity in a mess, you’ve gotta dive right in and embrace it first. Then the eyes brighten and the form makes sense. :)
People don’t care what you have to say until they have seen care offered for their hurts and pains - something I need to constantly remind myself.
Life is perspective.
Epic video, epic music.
Oh, how He loves us so.
How He Loves - David Crowder (w/ Matt Chandler and John Piper)
Guys, honestly, watch this, even if you’ve watched it before. Watch it again. Honestly.
Excerpt of The Value of Art by Caroline Pelletier
“Art follows a value system like many other things,” explains Jacquie Stoneberger, partner of the Collins, Lefebvre and Stoneberger Gallery. In this business the law of supply and demand is a key driving force. Many factors affect demand including economic climate and the art genre but the overriding element affecting the monetary value of an art piece is the work’s creator, the artist.
… Once the value of an artist has been determined, the price range for his or her works of art will be established accordingly.

We talked about honouring God and others at cell this week. Part of that discussion generated these few key points:
1) Honour is given to a person as a choice, despite the inherent value that we judge a person to possess or lack. The qualification for honour is not something that needs to be earned. The responsibility to dispense it lies primarily with the giver.
2) Love begins with honour. You firstly need to choose to honour a person before you can say you love another. Once you stop choosing to honour, the door to love is shut in your heart.
We walk through art galleries everyday at work, at school, on the way home. As critics, we place value on these “art pieces” based on preferences and subjectivity - what we enjoy, what we are inclined to etc.
But if all of mankind were breathed into being by the same Creator - should we not all hold the same inherent value that He breathed into us?
I’ve been watching these documentaries, titled “Extraordinary People” - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGHDjiinh80&feature=feedrec_grec_index
Beauty was bestowed upon us by the Creator, nothing will ever change that. If I judge by my eyes, what more my heart? If I judge another in my heart, then I do not honour the Creator.
